1. Eliza seems pretty human like as long as it is you communicating with her and she return with small comments and questions. It is like a one sided conversation, though she does mess up sometimes.
2. You can try to make her seem more human by adding some information of her own (other than her name) that she can give.
3. Computers can probably express human-like words, but it is most likely very challenging to have them express human like emotions because they are so complicated and the actions/reactions that go with them vary so much person to person.
4. I do not think that computers should substitute humans in the future. Computers and robots are good to build machines and complete tasks, but they should not be a substitute for human company and conversation (like in the movie Her).

1. Google was able to expand a 2 man operation into a very big company through a lot of hard work and a lot of thought put into the future of the company.
2. One of Google's challenges the competition is fierce and the company expanded so quickly that they have to be careful not to lose control of it.
3. Google has great technology and keeps their methods secret as a way to stay ahead of the competition.
4. Google has developed technology that goes out into the web and copies many pages and links them back to Google so that when someone searches, it can direct them back to that site using keywords. It also knows the popularity and credibility of the websites, so it lists the bets ones as the top search results.

Choose Your Own Culture
The culture I chose is the Yupik people, who are aboriginal to Alaska and often called Eskimos. They have many traditions, including seal hunting and the making of canoes. One of their cultural traditions is making parkas with elaborate designs. The style is still sometimes mimicked in modern day western clothing, as it is warm and lined with fur and perfect for a cold winter. the clothes are composed of animal skin and fur and are made of small squares of fabric sewn together. I mimicked creating a checkered pattern in black and white.
